What is the perfect URL structure for your blog or website? I've done a lot of website reviews and have helped hundreds of people get more traffic and make more money with what they're doing online.

One question I get asked is why do some websites use example.com/blog/post-title, others go with example.com/post-title and some go with example.com/category/post-title?

Which one is best?

For small websites, like a personal site it's best to just go with example.com/post-title

For websites and blogs that will be a bit larger with 100+ go with blog/post-title as it gives your site a nice structure.

For websites that will become truly massive, go with category/post-title.

What about dates? Dates are the worst for most websites but they do make sense if you're publishing time sensitive content.
