YouTube just announced a major YouTube Update around Mature Content and Age Restrictions on Videos. This can impact creators views and YouTube Monetization for content that is Age Restricted by YouTube.

In this video I explain how YouTube's new updates to how Age Restrictions on Videos will work for Mature Videos on YouTube. This is not technically a YouTube Policy change, but since it does involve YouTube Machine Learning it is a change to how the YouTube Algorithm classifies and treats certain videos.
Because this is intended to restrict videos for audiences under 18 there are some people who view this similar to COPPA which we have talked about on the channel before.
