This video will show my advice to new sellers, what I wish someone would have told me when I was just starting out. I also made this video is to tell you that I’m still nervous. I remember when I was launching my first product. Below are some tactics you can actually implement when starting out on your entrepreneurial journey. The most important thing you have to remember though is to take those baby steps.

1. Start a Product Launch Group
The Product Launch Group is a big thing. You want to validate that your product is a good idea every step of the way. What I do is I create an Instagram first. I put a link in the bio to capture their emails. In the email capture, I put in something like a chance to win a free product by signing up with their email. If nobody fills that out, then your product is not that interesting. The next step is getting them to join the Product Launch Group. It’s a Facebook group and you invite all your potential customers, all those people that are interested in your product. They help you develop a great product.

2. You Are Not Alone
If you’re nervous about launching your first product, then you should know that everyone was. People just don’t talk about it a lot of times. I’m launching my second product, but I am still even terrified. I’ve been trying to launch this product for about a year now and I’ve been dragging off my feet. The reason is that I have these negative thoughts spiraling in my head. I think to myself that if this new product fails, then my business fails.

One of the ways to get over the fear is to surround yourself with family, friends, or other people that have some kind of entrepreneurial experience. These people can be mentors to you. If you do not have a tribe of people to go through the struggle with, it will be so much harder. You might be able to do it alone, but you should not have to. With a tribe, it will be so much easier. You will support each other and do better together.

3. Look at the patterns in your life
When I look at the patterns in my life, I see that every time I have a big failure, something amazing happens from it. This is a repeating pattern. A lot of times those things that you’re scared of, they end up leading to the great successes in your life. In the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, he interviewed 500 of the most successful people and found a pattern. 99% of the most successful people found that their biggest success came right after their biggest failure. You don’t want to go after failures, but they are a clean slate. It’s the universe's way of telling you that something big is about to happen.

4. The Hero’s Journey
Fear, anxiety, and depression are all part of the story. They are what makes a story so good. In a movie, every good story out there follows a pattern. There is always a low point. There’s a point when the hero feels hopeless. But when the hero overcomes that obstacle, that is when we love it.
One of my biggest pieces of advice is that everything is going to be hopeless at some point in your Amazon journey. You can either quit or overcome it. To give you a clue: you are going to overcome it.

5. Fear of How to Manufacture
There are companies that their entire business model revolves around helping you out. Every step of the journey will feel like things are going to be hard to overcome. It just isn’t.
I’m still terrified of launching my new product on Amazon. My production run is going to cost around $55,000. That’s a lot of money. If it does not go well, I’m going to lose all that money. How do we make sure that the production run goes well? Product Launch Group.

6. Fear of Making a Mistake
No matter how hard you try, you’re still going to make mistakes. You can’t out think your way of making mistakes.
The biggest thing I’ve learned on Amazon and entrepreneurship ultimately is done is better than perfect. You are going to make mistakes. But if you’re going to spend so much time thinking about it, you will not be able to make progress. If you’re going the wrong way, it’s cool. Cut it, take your losses, and you are sure to go the other way. You will learn these lessons. Spend some time and actually try to do it correctly, but don’t be afraid to make mistakes.
