When I was about 17 years old I decided I could continue to struggle with being a cartoonist that may be mediocre or I could be a good or great Graphic Designer. Ultimately this is why I became a Graphic Designer. I'm happy with my choice, but I wish I hadn't give up on a dream I had since I was child just because I didn't think I was good enough. I wish that it had been a purely pragmatic decision.

The truth is my lack of confidence in myself and the fact I didn't have an overall strategy to be successful as a cartoonist and animator is why I did not become one.

I would become a Graphic Designer because I could make that scalable and I'm glad I made that decision because it is why I am able to connect with all of you and have made my accomplishments in this industry.

With the recent passing of Animator Monty Oum (Rooster Teeth, RWBY, Red vs. Blue, Haloid, Dead Fantasy) I was encouraged to share my story, since we are similar age and he saw his dream through right to the very end.
