Fixing every image in your WordPress media library can become time-consuming when you get a lot of mirrored or inverted images. With this in mind, you might want to use the Fixed Image Rotation plugin to automatically rotate images.
When you take a photo, your smartphone usually creates a baseline for that image. The plugin looks at the orientation value and then rotates the image if necessary. This is all done automatically, saving you time and effort. #wordpress #rotation #images
Want to see the metadata used by fixed image rotations? Many software editing programs allow you to examine an image's metadata. For example, you can use the Mac Preview application to check the orientation information of an image. Just open the image in Preview and choose Tools - Show Inspector. In the popup that appears, click the General tab. You can now see the alignment values for this image. This is the information that Fixed Image Rotation is used to correct upside-down or flipped images.
To fix these images in WordPress, you must first install and activate the Fixed Image Rotation plugin. Check out our step-by-step guide to installing a WordPress plugin for more details.
Once activated, the Fixed Image Rotation plugin will start working automatically, you don't need to configure any settings. You can now upload any image from your phone and WordPress will automatically flip the image if needed.
