Tim sees foraging as more than just harvesting resources from the land — it’s a lifestyle, and the key to saving our planet. Foraging is the most ancient human narrative. It’s how we all got where we are today, and we still have those skills inside of ourselves (except most of us just use them in the produce department!) Everyone in Minneapolis is within 0.6 miles of a green space or park, making it the perfect place to launch Tim’s business. Through private and public workshops, classes, consulting, and work for nonprofits and corporate organizations, Tim helps reconnect folks with the childlike wonder and awe of the outdoors they once experienced as kids. His favorite part of being an entrepreneur? Calling his own shots. He loves deciding when he wants to work, how he wants to do it and what charities he donates his time and resources to. His GoDaddy website has been essential to growing his business, allowing him to accept payments, display his class schedule and share more about the rewards of foraging. This means Tim spends less time coding and more time harvesting mushrooms (safe-to-eat ones, of course.)
