This is also geared towards users who are not with a managed WordPress hosting provider since they do many of these steps for you.
The first thing you want to do is to install a WordPress backup solution.
Next is to secure the WordPress admin area from hackers.
#3 check your site for 404 errors.
#4 setup email for your WordPress site.
#5 check all forms on your site.
#6 ecommerce websites go through your ecommerce site like a customer and see if there are any issues with your shopping experience.
#7 check images, videos and sliders and make sure they are all loading properly and working correctly. Also make sure none of your images or videos are slowing down your site by being too large.
#8 test social integrations and make sure all your social network links work and that they are pointing to the correct profile for your site.
#9 do performance tests by going to sites like Pingdom and Google pagespeed.
#10 install Google Analytics to start tracking data for your site.
#11 check seo settings and make sure your site is optimized for search engines.
