Do you want to learn how to start a blog? In this video I go step by step through the process of how to create a blog on WordPress. There are many tutorials out there on how to make a blog, but few cover the details. However, most blog tutorial videos are short and don't even scratch the surface of what's really necessary when it comes to creating a successful WordPress blog. I've tried to really break this how to create a blog with WordPress tutorial different than those and break down each section of how to make a blog.

I go through the steps of how to set up a self hosting WordPress blog, which gives our blog it's own unique domain name and more control over our content. After getting hosting I go over install WordPress and adding SSL to make our blog more secure. I also show you how to start a blog the right way by changing our WordPress settings and then setting up our menu properly. After that I cover editing our Ashe theme menu and blog homepage layout. Following that step I go over the basics of creating a blog post. A tutorial about how to make a blog wouldn't be complete without an about and contact page, so I go over creating those next.

When it's all said and done I want you to go from wondering how to start a blog to feeling as if you were able to create a blog that you can be proud of. Again, I think that there are so many how to create a blog type tutorials on YouTube that don't do making a blog justice. There are many things that you need to know when writing your blog posts and setting up your blog to be successful. If you don't optimize your WordPress blog properly it can really hurt your chances of growing and having a money making blog website.
