In this short article, you will learn about how to get a domain name if you intend to start an online store and what factors you should consider when picking any domain name.

Have you ever considered running an online store or an e-commerce business? You may have been discouraged by different factors which could include lack of funds, lack of an audience, lack of proper planning or more. However, there are different considerations to make and grow your business which will be discussed in other articles.

When choosing a domain name, put the following factors into account;

1. Easy to spell- when a domain name is easy to spell, prospective clients can easily type it in and find what they are searching for as they can easily spell it. However, if it's hard to spell, they may get frustrated and find another store to give them what they want. So try to select a domain name which is straightforward and easy to sell.

2. Make it short- a shorter domain name has a greater possibility of ranking high on Google as people may rarely search it. No prospective client wants to go through the pain of typing in a long domain name, and they will rather go for a shorter one which is easier to remember and also easier to spell. Also, ranking on Google is paramount for business as it shows how much a client can trust the website.

3. Insert a keyword- using a keyword that is similar or the same as the product you are selling or intending to sell will increase the rank of the e-commerce site on Google and also it will be easy to remember by prospective clients. For example, if you intend to sell peanuts, you should consider a domain name with the keywords “peanuts” in it. That way, it will be easier to rank higher and make more sales.

To get a domain name for your online store, you can go to famous sites such as godaddy.com or namechip.com for as little as one dollar. If you haven't purchased a domain name before, you can use the Google search tool and type in keywords such as 99 cents Go Daddy domains, and you can be directed to the store to buy the domain name. Buying the domain name takes about three minutes and doesn't cost so much, it could cost as little as one dollar, but cannot be higher than fourteen dollars. So get it soon and set up your online store as this is the first step towards your financial freedom from an e-commerce store. This

It may be different to set up the store when it was acquired from the various sites which sell domain names. For instance, if you bought a Go Daddy domain and you have a Shopify store, it is a bit different to set up than when it was acquired from Namecheap, and you are using Volution.

So take the first step to achieving your financial freedom in commerce through the acquisition of a domain name. Just keep in mind the various factors to consider when picking a name, choose a name which is easy to spell, short and has the necessary keywords which concern your business to ensure the rapid growth of e-commerce business. After doing this, you are ready to start your business.
