You can Hide your Wordpress website until its ready, or you can make your website temporarily unavailable for your visitors for some reasons. For this task, you only need to enable WordPress maintenance mode. By this you can put your site under maintenance, under construction or in coming soon mode.
You can add a maintenance page to your website that lets visitors know your website is down for maintenance, or add a coming soon page for a new website. User with admin rights will get full access to your website, but others will not be able to access Frontend (Website) and Backend (Admin Panel) of your website. All this can be done with a plugin which helps you to add a Wordpress Website Under maintenance mode option.
There are many different reasons as to why you would want to put your WordPress site into maintenance mode as well as many different ways to do so.
Activate the plugin named "WP Maintenance Mode" and your Website will be in maintenance-mode, which will works and only registered users with enough rights can see the front end.
