You should use shopify if you sell physical products, and go with woocommerce if you sell digital goods or the primary focus of your website is content. I struggle to even say that because Shopify is just so dominant but there are some benefits to woocommerce I will get into later

Shopify and Bigcommerce are fairly similar but Shopify is better for reasons I will go into later

Shopify is the clear winner to me, just a better company, more forward thinking company and just really on the ball

Okay so at this point you may be thinking that is great but what about Woocommerce

Free?
Less Expensive
Great if you plan on having a bunch of small stores or only really selling 1-2 products
I honestly think every good internet markerter should get hosting anyways, blue host christmas

Not as professional and more likely to get hacked
Harder to customize

You Have to deal with hosting
There are a lot of costs for adding extensions
Out of the litterally 100’s of succesful store owners I only know 1 person that has a woocommerce shop and he sales a digital product
Shopify is built for ecommerce

No matter what you choose paying for hosting or your shopify fee is like a gym membership
