We will create a business template for a local landscaping website! You'll see just how easy it is to create a beautiful website using the drag-and-drop system that Divi offers.

Divi is one of the most popular visual website drag-and-drop builders on WordPress in 2019. Their platform allows beginners to make a website with a professional full-width design on desktop devices which also turns into a mobile-friendly site when viewed on phones or tablets. Divi is also great for coders and experienced developers since it allows for all types of CSS styles and customizations.

Here's a quick breakdown of how Divi works - you build your website using the following drag and drop elements:

Sections - These are outlined with blue, and you choose between regular sections, specialty sections with sidebars, or full-width with only 1 column.

Rows & Columns - These are outlined with teal, and they create the structure for your website design and layout.

Modules - These are outlined with dark gray, and they consist of all the various types of content that you can add to your website include text, buttons, images, blurbs, photo galleries, contact forms and plenty of others.

Global - These are outlined with lime green, and they are blocks that you can duplicate across the website many times, but only need to update once when you need to make a change.

Once you create a layout, you can save sections or the entire page to your Divi library.

Or if you want the fast path to launching a website, you can use one of their pre-made layouts instead of building from scratch.

Divi allows you to visually edit your website on the front-end, so it's easier for the average WordPress user to tweak something without needing code skills like HTML or CSS. In my opinion, it is well worth the price if you want to find the middle ground between the full ability to customize without needing to invest years to learn all the technical details of how the website code works. WordPress Gutenberg took a step in this direction, but it still doesn't give you the flexibility of Divi when it comes to web design - especially if you are creating websites for many clients.

Once your website goes live, you should install a few plugins and services - SEO by Yoast, W3 Total Cache (or similar caching plugin), Google Analytics, and Google Search Console. These will optimize your website and give you insight.
