Influencer Marketing is More Effective Long Term than PPC Advertising
Using Influencers and Brand Ambassadors is a great way to create awareness of your product or service. Getting other people to endorse or champion your brand to you audience may seem uncomfortable since you won't always be able to control the message... but the reward is authenticity and loyalty with audience you may not have been able to reach otherwise.

Influencer marketing is also typically more affordable and more practical than PPC advertising in the long term. Consider it the same as a celebrity endorsement but niche. When you think of influencer marketing in those terms it becomes easier to understand it's real value.

I'm not suggesting that PPC or traditional advertising is dead.... not yet anyway. But overall it's not as if you couldn't or shouldn't connect these things and leverage them as a whole. PPC seems more stable and measurable, but only 10-15 years ago, that was the argument for it against bring advertising... I remember in 2002 explaining to my professors why focus on learning to design for newspaper ads instead of banner ads was a mistake.... today I'm telling people the same thing about influencer marketing, social selling and new media vs PPC ads and getting the same reaction...laughter... but I've been historically right about this and the top people in marketing such as Gary Vaynerchuk have also noticed this trend.
