In this day and age everyone is familiar with the platform Facebook. Chances are your family members, friends, and colleagues are signed up to the popular website. It’s a great for sharing personal stories, watching funny videos, and connecting with family members that live across the country. Well not only is it useful for those purposes but you can learn to implement the website to serve as a tool for the benefit of your business.

In this video, I’m going to show you 7 Facebook Marketing Secrets for your business. These are tips and tricks that you can use on Facebook to direct more traffic to your website and ultimately more sales.
Tip 1: Post Native Content

When posting, it shouldn’t come across as an ad. As someone is scrolling through their feed, the content should resemble what a friend might post. People will get “ad blindness” if it comes off as a business post which in return causes the post to be ignored. So aim to make the post look like it belongs on the potential customers feed.

Tip 2: Use Pictures

Images take up real estate and on top of that are more eye catching so make sure to with all your posts to incorporate pictures. If you compare a post with just text and another one that includes an image, you will clearly notice which one sticks out more on the feed.

Tip: Ask for Comments/Tags

There are many different ways to create engagement with potential customers. The first one is to ask for comments. You can do this by asking questions for example who is your favorite superhero or what do you think about this product? The next thing is to ask for tags. I sell dance clothing at my store so something I would say is to tag your favorite dancer, or tag someone who relates to this post. The goal is to get them to tag their friends in it and it will then create a buzz. Another way is to ask for customers opinions on your products. You can ask which one is your favorite, leave a comment and let us know. Facebook will see this post is getting a lot of engagement and they are more likely to show it to a bigger subset of your audience. Originally your post might have only 1000 people see it but as Facebook sees this is an engaging post, Facebook will show it to 2000, 3000, or even 4000 out of the total of 10,000 people who like your page.

Tip 4: Create a Conversation

This tip kind of goes along with the last tip I was talking about but here you might ask them what is their favorite story involving dance shoes for example. Everyone likes telling a story about themselves, and it is a great way to get your audience to interact with you.

Tip 5: Post Videos!

Videos do very well on Facebook. The videos on Facebook auto play so your potential customers when scrolling through the feed all of a sudden see the video starting to move, and it convinces them to watch it. I have gotten way better engagement rates with videos than I have with images for the most part except for using the next tip I will talk about below. Overall videos are eye catching and engaging so use them whenever you can.

Tip 6: Contests/Customer Photos

One of the things I do is post customer photos and they share them with their friends/family so it gets more people to like your page. Another thing that I do that is crucial is I run a Dancer of The Month competition. Whenever I do this contest, I see a big spike in traffic. We post all the photos of the dancers entering the contest, and say whoever gets the most likes on the photo will win the Dancer of The Month Competition. The Dancer of The Month gets a prize box, as well as other gifts. People go nuts over these types of contests because they want to win so they share it with as many people as possible so it creates a huge buzz towards your page. Think how you can get your customers photos on your social media and have a better engagement.

Tip 7: Call to Action

Don’t forget the link! Many people forget to add a link to their site and it needs to be in the description. That way it takes the person directly back to your website. You can ask for the click, like, or comment a well. For example click here to buy it, learn more, or sign up.
