To be successful online you don't have to create a sexy company.
There is a guy named Mike Rigby, who sells tumbleweeds. He makes thousands of dollars doing so.
He takes these tumbleweeds that he picks up for free and sells them to movie companies for thousands of dollars. Now Mike isn't the richest man in the world, but he has created a nice business selling something that is "ugly".
Just look at the Koch brothers, very few people know about them but they are two of the richest people in the world.
Ugly businesses that produce products and services that people need every day make millions. So don't just focus on cool, sexy businesses. Focus on ugly ones.
Just Google terms related to the industry you are interested in entering. Look for how many people you would be competing with. Look for the industries that have less than 50 million competitors if not less than 10 million.
In addition to that type in the industry within Google Trends. Make sure there is a graph. If there isn't, it means it is too small.
Do those two things and you'll be able to market your company with ease and make a living doing so.
