I'm going to show you how to set up GoDaddy domain forwarding. Let's go!

I'm logged in to my GoDaddy account. From here, click Home and select Domains. Select the domain that you want to forward. On the Domain Settings page, scroll down to Additional Settings and select Manage DNS. On the DNS page, scroll down to the Forwarding section and under Domain, click Add.

Use the Forward To menu and select http or https for the destination URL. In the blank field under Forward To, enter the destination URL you want your domain forwarding to redirect to. There are, however, a few limitations.

The first and last character of your destination URL must be a number or letter, with the maximum character limit of 1000. And while use of periods in your URLs are supported, use of consecutive periods and underscores are not.

Next, under Forward Type, select a type of redirect: 301 redirect or 302 redirect. Now, select your Forwarding Settings to determine how your redirect will function. Selecting Forward Only will redirect the site you specified in the Forward To field and the destination URL will show in the browser address bar. Selecting Forward with Masking will redirect to the site you specified in the Forward To field and your GoDaddy domain name will show in the browser address bar instead of the destination URL. If you select Forward with Masking, you'll need to enter your details for at least one of the meta tag types.

The Title Tag is a short phrase that displays on the browser tab and in search results. The Description Tag is a short explanation of your website that displays in search engine results. And Keywords are used to describe the content and purpose of your website. Each keyword you enter should be separated with a comma. To finish, click Save.

If your domain name servers are with GoDaddy, we'll go ahead and update them for you. Now, you might have to practice a little bit of patience, because it could take 24-48 hours for your forwarding to take effect.
