WordPress Blog Page - Create A Separate Page To Display All Blog Posts| WP Learning Lab

In this tutorial you're going to learn how to designate a special page to show all your blog posts.

By default, WordPress displays all blog posts on the homepage unless you have a theme that does otherwise.

The reason for this is that WordPress is a blogging platform at its core. So it only make sense to put the blog on the homepage. However, as more and more businesses start using WordPress it is important to know how to create a separate WordPress blog page to keep all the blog posts.

Doing is really quite easy. First, log into your WordPress dashboard and then hover over pages in the left menu. Click on Add New in the flyout menu.

Title the new page Blog and click on Publish. This will be the page that contain all your blog posts. If you view that page in the browser right now it will probably show nothing at all.

Also create and publish another page called Home. This will become the homepage.

Now, go back to the WordPress dashboard and hover over Settings. Click on Reading Settings in the flyout menu.

At the very top of the page that loads choose Static front page. Now two drop down menus will appear.

For the Frontpage dropdown choose Home and the Blog page dropdown choose Blog.

Click on Save Changes.

Now if you go to the Blog page on your website AND you have blog posts published, you will see them listed there.

That's how easy it is to create a WordPress Blog Page.
