Who Should Become a Freelance Graphic Designer or Web Designer? Becoming a Freelancer can be risky and making money freelancing can be difficult sometimes. But you have to determine whether or not it is something you are suited to. That's going to be a hard question to answer if you lack self-awareness.

Too many graphic designers and web designers go into freelancing thinking that it will be easier than working a 9to5 job. While in some cases it is less stressful to be your own boss and control your environment and work standards, it also means you bare all the responsibility, cost and blame.

Becoming a freelancer without a full appreciation for whether or not you can make freelancing practical financially and maintain your health is a mistake that can be more costly than you realize.
