If you are new to this whole building an online business thing, this video is for you! After 9 months of running this sales funnel experiment I’m finally ready to take a long honest review of what has worked and what hasn’t.
It’s time to pivot once again. In this landmark episode, I just wanted to share with you guys what I’ve learned over the past 9 months of building an online business and information product sales funnel from scratch.
I like using 6 to 9 months as the time frame for determining whether a direction is working. In the content of content marketing vs. advertising; I think this past 9 months has given me enough experience and data to come to a reasonable conclusion on how I should spend my next 9 months. Personally, I find a year to be way too long to have your head in the sand and anything under 3 months doesn’t give us nearly enough time to commit.
While a lot has happened over the past 9 months of building a webinar sales funnel, in this reflection I’m focusing on content marketing vs. advertising. Which one is best to grow your business? As someone who has always been in the advertising camp, this episode was a real tough one to record (gives you a hint to what I found).
Building a business in the constantly changing digital environment is never a straight path. What worked last year won’t work this year and keeping up with everything that changes in the constant content marketing vs. advertising debate can be a full-time job.
