My Greatest Mentors and Thoughts on Mentoring [Vlog]

People often ask me who my greatest mentors are. I've had a lot of mentors as an entrepreneur, from a lot of different perspectives, but the most important one was my mother, who taught me how to learn and made me excited about it.

Mentoring matters for a lot of people, it can provide guidance or give you something to aspire to. But it is important to still find your own voice and trust your own gut rather that look to your mentor to give you all the answers.

You also don't need a hands on mentor all the time in order to learn. So many people feel that if they don't have this they won't be successful. I've rarely ever met any of my mentors in life and in business. And even the ones I have met, did not sit there and pour hours into one on one teaching with me. It was more casual than that. I learned from them at a distance and by example.

Often with much less engagement that I provide many of you with, if I'm going to be perfectly honest.
