Hey everybody, it's Darlene,

and today we're gonna talk about

customizing your header section on the site.

What is the header section?

Well, it's the first thing that people are gonna see

when they come to your site.

It's gonna have your business name,

a little bit about you,

and kind of just welcome everybody in.

So let's dive right into customizing that.

All right, so we're gonna start at the top here.

You just have to go to the site editor.

The first thing that you're gonna do

is go to your pages, on your my site.

Click on home,

and the first thing that we see on the very top there

is header.

When you click on that,

it's gonna go ahead and open up

the section that we can edit.

You're gonna see a few different options

to change here,

like your accent color, alignment of the text,

theme and layout,

and then if we go down a little bit,

you're gonna see a few different options

to edit the headline.

So that's gonna be the large text section here,

the smaller section below it,

where you can edit the description of it.

So you can edit the cover image, here, as well.

So if you have a cool picture that you want to upload

about your business or a view,

you can go ahead and click on cover image.

Click replace to pull up the gallery.

You can choose from some stock media here

or upload your own.

I'm a fan of this one.

And you can edit the current image here as well.

If you want to go ahead and zoom in on the graphic,

zoom out,

or drag around that circle,

just to change the focus area too.

Click done.

Next, you can put in your logo if you have one.

You can upload it here,

and then it'll show up on the page.

You can use text as a logo

or you could use nothing at all.

So you can edit the headline on the page as well.

So your headline is your title, pretty much.

It's gonna show up nice, big and bright, and center

on that page.

So, you can put in your business name here,

and then below that, you're gonna see an option

to edit the paragraph section,

which is gonna be the description

that follows underneath it.

Or, if you don't want to put anything there at all,

leave that section blank.

So make sure you actually give it a glance

to see what it's gonna look like on your desktop or mobile,

and you can do that by clicking on preview,

top right corner here.

And then you can get an idea of what it's gonna look like

on browser as you scroll,

and then same on a mobile device.

And when your done previewing your site,

go ahead and click on edit in the top right,

so you can hop back into your builder

and keep working on your site even more.
