After becoming a chef and cooking for well-known restaurants in Boston and New Orleans, Charly ventured out on his own, opening Fritai with co-founder Minerva Chereches. Located in the St. Roch Market, Fritai serves up Haitian street food favorites like fried plantains, griot (crispy pork) and the famous Fritai sandwich. Charly is passionate about giving back to his community and teaching others about the Haitian influence on New Orleans’ culture, music and food. Each dish at Fritai blends his Haitian roots with the Big Easy’s Creole flavor to serve up a finger-lickin’ experience for every guest.
