Facebook advertising is a marketer’s dream. It is one great place to meet just about any person who represents your target demographic, making it the most ideal place to spend your effort and your money on advertising your ecommerce website.

Here are the 7 Secrets to Successful Facebook Ads:

Highly Targeted Interest Targeting
Facebook advertising enables you to target very specific people, very specific demographic. Through Highly Targeted Interest Targeting, Facebook allows you to narrow down further your target audience, so narrowed that it will definitely help you target the ones that exactly represent your target market. For example, in my company Bdancewear.com, I am targeting women as my target audience. With Facebook ads I am able to narrow it down to women in the U.S., with an income of more than $50000 a year, who belongs to a specific age range, who has a daughter and who likes my competitors’ sites. This way, I can have exactly the group of people who will most likely buy from my ecommerce store.


Remarketing
This is another powerful tool that targets those who have been to your site but were not able to purchase anything. Through Facebook remarketing they are able to see your ad on their Facebook account and when they click it they’ll be taken back to your website to hopefully be able to buy this time. This is so profitable and you will be surprised with the amazing ROI that you can get from this kind of advertising.


Upload Email Lists
This enables you to upload email lists of people whom you want to be shown your ads on Facebook. This is really cool because it allows you to take emails of your customers and upload them to Facebook. It is one way to tell Facebook that those people who owned those emails you uploaded are your target audiences and that you want Facebook to show your ad to these people. If these people’s emails are associated with their own Facebook account, chances are they will be able to see your ads on their Facebook account. I used this before with anyone who bought from me but hasn’t been able to for the last six months. I mean they’ve already bought from me, they’ve already known my brand, but they haven’t been buying from me lately.


Look A Like Audiences
When you upload your email list (i.e. your customers’ emails) on Facebook they will then give you back a million lists of those people who “look-alike” the type of audience that you have. By uploading the lists of emails of your customers, you are giving Facebook the chance to figure out the “one thing in common” among these people in your email list. Then Facebook will find more people like that in your email list. Facebook will try to make it easier for you to show your Facebook ads to the correct people. The minimum number of email that you can upload to Facebook is 200. But, you can send up to a hundred thousand. So, through “look-alike audiences” you can tell Facebook to find more people that have similarities and things in common with the kind of target audience that you have. Basically, you can have one million more potential customers through “look-alike audiences”.

Lead Ads
You do not need a landing page for lead ads, unlike with other types of ads. What a landing page is when someone clicks on an ad, and it brings them somewhere else, this is not the case with lead ads. With leads ads, the user will not leave Facebook. There will be a ‘Sign Up’ button shown in your Ad and once that is clicked, it will be show a window where the user can add their name and email address. You as the marketer would get their details without the user leaving Facebook and checking their email.

Video Views
Video views are extremely powerful and are cheap. 1,000 views would be priced $1. The video would still be targeted to your specific target market and not just the general people. What’s great with video views is you can create a short clip and add a link to your website if they would want to know where the view the complete video.

Create Social Proof
People want to know that your company is real and trustworthy, and one way of showing that is by having a lot of followers and likes.
