Welcome to the second episode of the Effective Ecommerce Podcast and in this Podcast we're gonna become we're gonna be talking about how to come up with an idea for your online business and we're gonna go over a bunch of different techniques and I got to start off and let you know this question kind of bothers me a little bit I get this question a lot it's a very very common question how do I come up with an idea for online business and the truth is it bugs me because I have so many ideas if you're serious and you need an idea for an online business email me Travis that effective you commerce com I've got about twenty or thirty ideas that I just don't have enough time to start but that doesn't really answer the question so let's talk about how some tangible things on how you can come up with an idea for your online store so the first thing I want to say definitely checks out the e-commerce success pack I have for free you get Effective Ecommerce comm success pack all one word or you just go to Effective Ecommerce comm and you'll you'll see it there but in that I actually have a worksheet that'll help you come up with an idea but let's go over some of the techniques from the worksheet and some of the techniques on how to come up with an idea the first thing I'd say is look around you where do you spend money on what do you spend the most money on and what I mean by this is what do you spend money on that other people do not for instance for me one of the things I saw that I spent money on was food I'm willing to buy higher quality food than most people most people are okay with just getting you know whatever some cheap stuff from Walmart I wanted the higher quality fuel for my body on top of that another thing I saw that I spent a disproportionate amount of money on was supplements so I thought about that a lot in one of the things I saw that there was a hole in the market was healthy fat based supplements or

This is a very common question but in all honesty, it bugs me a little bit because it is SO EASY to come up with an idea. Some quick tips look around you and see what you spend money on, what are you interested in? Then spend the next 30 days writing down 1 idea a day!

Very common question

Look around you, what do you spend money on?
The most money?
What things are you price insensitive too?
What are you interested in?
What would make your life better
Write on one side of the paper what you are good at, and on the other what you are bad at.
Then think about things that would make your life easier
You can ask people the same things
1 Idea a day
It doesn’t need to be your idea
Start looking at what other businesses are doing
Ask your friends what they think
