In this episode of the effective e-commerce podcast we're going to be talking about email marketing how to capture lead all the basics email marketing but before we get into that Idol want to announce the winner and I’m actually going to pick two winners of The iTunes review competition so if you don’t know yet and go to iTunes leave a five star review for a chance to win a free one-on-one consulting session and I usually pick one person every month but decided to pick two this month because really I really do appreciate people leaving the five star review so Noah loves crepes and Mike Bravo both you guys left amazing reviews Ideally appreciate the thought put into it that Noah loves crepes his review the title was Travis's the goat exclamation part which made my day I was like super excited to read that that just made me feel real good so both you guys Mike Bravo and Noah loves crepes email me Travis at effective e-commerce and we can do a free one-on-one consulting session however I can help you just let me know and like I said if you want towing a free one-on-one consulting session just leave that -star review in iTunes which really helps me out it helps the podcast out it'll help me get higher quality guests in the future and you get interested in that free one-on-one consulting session so now let's get into today’s podcast episode in this podcast we’re going to talk about basic email marketing and how to capture leads how to capture emails from your website so we’re going to talk about different lead captures basically so before we start Inanna talk about why you should be doing email marketing in the first place and there is a lot of different reasons why you should be doing some kind of email marketing some kind of lead capture and the first one is it's the best return on investment if you don't know what that turns me means you're going to probably start hearing it a lot but basically forever dollar you spend your going to make the most money back so return on investment if you invest $ what's there turn do you make $ or do you only make $. and if you only are making cents on every dollar you spend you’re losing money so it is some of the best ROI I've heard numbers saying that it's to and the reason is it's pretty cheap it's pretty inexpensive to send email where if you're paying for clicks from Facebook ads or AdWords or all these other things I could get really expensive it could be a dollar a clicker email depending if you go with Mail Chimp or Flavio or one of the other ones out there it's pretty inexpensive and Mail Chimp obviously is one of the more inexpensive one so in this podcast wanted to talk about a bunch of different things one is how to capture how to capture leads how to get the emails and then we're going to start talking about what you can do with the email once you capture it so here's just some more basic outline of email marketing and why it's so good so great ROI as I already said it's great for repeat business and repeat sales once you have someone in your ecosystem you want to keep them in your ecosystem and part of that is obviously coming back and purchasing so you can send people coupons you can just let people know remind people
